About the Program
This engaging class for children ages 3-7 covers topics from rhythm to note reading to instrument introduction and exposure, all through enthusiastic hands-on teaching, colorful workbook activities and stickers, and fun classroom games!
Class 1: for students that will be ages 3-4 at the start of the program. 4:00pm on Mondays.
Class 2: for students that will be ages 5-7 at the start of the program. 4:45pm on Mondays.
Your Instructor
Dara Adams-Smith
Dara Adams-Smith has been a free-lance trumpeter and a band director in the Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts for twenty-two years. Dara was the director of bands and music technology at Hampshire Regional Middle and High School in Westhampton, where she taught for over 21 years and recently retired in the fall of 2021. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance and Music Production & Engineering from the Berklee College of Music, and a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Music Education from the University of New Hampshire.
