Christina Choi

Piano

Christina Choi, a native Korean pianist, teaches classical piano at NCMC. She received her BM in piano performance and pedagogy from Chung-Ang University, South Korea, where she graduated with the highest distinction. She holds Masters and Doctorate degrees in piano performance under the tutelage of Mr. Gregory Allen, the grand prize winner of the Rubinstein competition, at the University of Texas at Austin. In her dissertation, Dr. Choi discussed the pedagogical aspect of Robert Starer’s piano music collections. She has a broad repertoire including Solo and Chamber ranging from Baroque to 20th-century. Prior to joining NCMC, she worked as a piano instructor for Piano Project, a community outreach program, and taught undergraduate students at UT Austin.
