Rose Baker teaches Suzuki violin at NCMC. She is an enthusiastic teacher who loves introducing the violin to others. In addition to her Suzuki teacher training, Rose completed her M.M. at UMASS Amherst with Elizabeth Chang and her B.M. at the Manhattan School of Music with Burton Kaplan. While an undergraduate, Rose enjoyed teaching violin in New York City schools as an intern with the Opus 118 Harlem School of Music. Rose has performed with the Seven Hills Chamber Music Festival, the Five College New Music Festival, the UMass Bach Festival and Symposium, in solo recitals in Amherst, Massachusetts, and in masterclasses with Jennifer Koh and Andrew Jennings.
